A UK Canal Boating Holiday is an excellent way to celebrate your Stag or Hen event but sometimes a weekend is just not long enough.
You can achieve so much more in a week's cruising - combine the nightlife in a vibrant city with a relaxing pint at a canal side pub.
Booking a week aboard will mean that your hen or stag can take time to relax and wind down free from pressure before the big event.
You may want to visit a town or city that is just a bit to far away to be achieved in a weekend.

So, for those of you who are lucky enough to be able to take an extended break, check out our suggested trips that take a week or more.

Tamworth – Route Drayton Manor from Alvechurch
If theme parks ride are your thing book your UK Canal Boating Holiday from Alvechurch and cruise on the Coventry Canal to Drayton Manor. For fans of white knuckle rides Drayton Manorcan offer you the thrill of the Apocalypse or the sheer force of the Maelstrom.

Bristol – Route Bristol and return from Hilperton

Head for the harbour area where there are dozens of great drinking venues and restaurants. In the centre head for Park Street and Whiteladies Road which are lined with one bar after another then finish your stag night at a one of the clubs around Nelson Street.

Oxford – Route Oxford and return
Gayton is situated in the stunning Oxfordshire countryside and is a perfect choice for a hen canal boat holiday to Oxford. What could be more sophisticated than sipping champaign whilst floating on the River Cherwell in a punt.

For ladies that lunch Oxford is over flowing with trendy bars, wine bars, tea shops and top class restaurants. Why not indulge in a spot of retail therapy along Cornmarket and Queen Street which is home to the city’s two biggest shopping centres.

Wander around the markets where you can pick up everything from killer heels to a vintage ball gown. At night the atmosphere in the pubs and bars is funky and vibrant and there is a good choice of live music playing throughout the city The Cowley Road, Jericho and the city centre are the best areas to head for a night out.

Leicester – Route Leicester and return from Union Wharf

Windsor will not disappoint you in the evening as there are good choice of eating and drinking establishments within the town centre.

Within sight of Windsor Castle you will find historic pubs and restaurants, continental style pavement cafés and traditional tea rooms. No trip would be complete with out a visit to the Castle view the magnificent state rooms and take a buggy ride around the grounds of Windsor Park.

Chester – Routes Chester and return from Whitchurch or Chester and return from Wrenbury
From our UK Canal bases at either Wrenbury or Whitchurch cruise to the Roman city of Chester. The city is topped to become one of the most must see cities in Europe as it is bursting with history, with evidence of the Ancient Roman walls and settlements all around.

Ladies why dust off your hats and make a day of it at the races as Chester racecourse offers a day full of fun gambling. The great thing about Chester being a smaller city is that it allows any hen to easily walk to each destination, great for those killer heals. Nearly every street is peppered with bars, pubs and nightclubs so you can sip champagne and cocktails, eat at fancy restaurants or visit nightclubs and casinos

Bristol - Route Bristol and return from Hilperton
If you want to shop then look no further than Bristol for your hen destination as the city is retail heaven. Bristol is renowned for it's wide range of shopping areas, The Cabot Circus is Bristol's newest shopping experience and features over 120 shops and 25 cafes and restaurants.

In the Broadmead area you will find over 300 shops as well as the handy services that you might expect on the high street. In Bristol's Old City you will discover the wonderful St Nicholas Marketwhich leads to the Christmas Steps, a shopping quarter dating back to the 1600's and is now home to many unique shops and galleries.

Stag and HensFor the ultimate girlie night out head for the harbour area where there are some great drinking venues and restaurants. In the centre of Bristol head for Park Street and Whiteladies Road which are lined with one great bar after another.
